Casa Batlló

Antoni Gaudí’s Casa Batlló in Barcelona, Spain

Praised as one of Antoni Guadi’s masterpieces, Casa Batlló started as a hired home renovation project for Joseph Batlló. In 2002, the house opened to the public offering visitors the chance to peek inside the modernist façade and marvel at the architectural design, wondrous interior as well as the magical visual intricacies offered at every turn. When you visit what the locals refer to as Casa dels ossos (for its skeletal and organic style), take special note of the roof terrace and how its shape emulates the backbone of a dragon famously slain by Sant Jordi.
