001: Icelandic Culture
Summary
We launch The Cultured Podcast with a (somewhat) polite introduction that gives the lay of The Cultured land. You meet your host, Michelle Khouri, a quirky theater lover and hyper-creative who knows more about ditching pretenses than she does about being a lady. You’ll eventually get a sense that this arts and culture podcast would take offense to being called “stuffy.” About 10 minutes in, you launch into the typical episode format by digging into what’s inspiring Michelle that week (hint: it’s “chutzpah”), followed by an exploration of Icelandic literary traditions and an overview of hidden travel destinations throughout the ethereal Land of Fire & Ice.
